The Fleet: Test Drive Meme. 2. Comment with your thread start, with your character name and fandom in the subject line. 3. Tag into other's threads. 4. Have fun! 5. And what happens on the TDM defaults to staying on the TDM (it's not taken in game), unless all players involved agree AND you have mod approval to c&p the thread to the log comm. You must get mod approval. **If you have questions, ask the Mods You've arrived! You've been seen by a coolly efficient (what you hope is a) medical professional - after all they did give you a shot of something. Then you were handed a slew of things you're still trying to process - communication devices, a ring (which is also a key?), a piece of transparent film that's flashing information. And clothing, that was a thoughtful gesture. And then there was the explanation - You've been taken (isn't that a nice way of saying 'kidnapped') by that floating orb of light, you can't leave, but while you're here you get room and board. Is that really a fair trade? Oh, and to top everything off, you have a set of gem like stones set into your chest, that you can't remove. Before you know it, you've moved with the crowd towards the shuttle and now that you are sitting down, it's now suddenly sinking in. You are so very far from home. [NOTE: Please note that the actual arrival process is different from the above scenario - please see the New Arrivals Page for a detailed explanation of the arrival process.] [Cafeteria] You’re hungry, and though the smells coming from the cafeteria are strange, they are alluring. The grumble in your belly tells you it’s worth chancing. [Multipurpose Common Area] You’re bored but haven’t quite worked up the courage to venture out into the greater parts of the station. The common area of the residential community seems like it might provide some distractions. And the view out the large windows lining one wall is simply stunning. [The Center Station Central Gardens] In an environment where spatial expansion is finite, it seems extravagant to house a garden this big. What looks like giant trees at first glance, turn outo be the wire structures that rise up six stores before fanning out actually house various breeds of creeping vines. There are two levels of raised walkways that wind around the vine structures. The ground level also wraps lazily through various plots of vegetation. There is enough variety of plants here to keep anyone interested for hours. [Cemetery Ring] If you’re in more for a somber atmosphere, the Cemetery Ring is open to everyone. The first sign posted outside the door reads "We are the lights that shines brightest against the night." The sign below it simply says "All are welcome." This wide corridor, that traverses the whole very top of the Inner Rings, is dimly lit, but pinpoints of light twinkle all over the wall. The wall juts out in an effort to create more surface area for memorials to those Owmi who have passed on to the next life since the Owmi started their nomadic journey. The peacefulness of the room is inviting. [Strange Lights - previous plot] Something strange is happening. You've been here just a few days and before you can even get used to the fact you are an abductee of a glowing ball of light, you now have an aura of lights hanging around your head. The colors change, and if you watch them for a moment (from a mirror - they are hard to get a good look of out of the corner of your eye) you notice they match the colors of the gem like stones fixed to your chest. And if you're really observant, you might catch on that the colors and intensity of the lights change with your mood. [Pinkie Pie's Fun Day Celebration - previous plot] Confetti/Glitter Bombs! Sometimes there’s a pair of eyes watching various residents going in and out of their rooms. Or walking around the habitat station at various places. Wherever your character may be, Pinkie is waiting with a bucket full of confetti or glitter. She forgets which one she takes with her since she prepared so many for this day. How she’s getting around without being noticed is a mystery, but that works just fine for her! Common Area Mingling! At the common area, Pinkie has the entire place decked out with balloons, confetti, several piñatas hanging from the ceiling (how did they get up there?!), and an area set up for games. She couldn’t find the actual games like the ones back home, so she had to make them herself. There’s chess, Twister, but instead of boring circles, there’s images of pink icing-covered donuts, chocolate chip cookies, blue cupcakes, and pistachio ice cream cups taped to the floor in four rows of ten, a place to play card games with images of herself in various costumes along with the card suits. There are several cakes with names attached to them on any table she could find. There’s one large cake with no name for everyone and everypony to share! It’s oddly plain, isn’t it? Not suspicious at all! There’s also snacks like fruit, cheese, crackers, cookies, and drinks to enjoy! No alcohol, though! Sorry! This party is rated G! And of course the party has piñata. A blindfold and stick are ready for the first challenger! Choose any piñata there! One looks dangerous! They’re filled with candy! Or confetti! Or both! “Step right up, ladies and gentlecolts! Try your luck and break open a piñata!” [NOTE: Please note that Pinkie Pie is no longer in game, so she will not be responding to any threads using this option.] [Planet Exploration: Baj E'oku Prime - current plot] A new opportunity! No longer do you need to wander the giant space Habitat Station. You now get the opportunity to explore a section of the planet Baj E'oku Prime. It's small, tidal locked planet. The area you can explore is dusty and red with surprising wild life. There are canyons and highlands, rivers and caves to explore. (See link for greater details.) What adventures or trouble will you find? |
Severus Snape | Post - Harry Potter: DH
He's dressed in the loose clothing given to him, but thankfully, he's also been granted his one request to add to his outfit. Thus he had a dark gray scarf to wrap around his scarred throat along with a flowing black coat that was the closest he was liable to get to the robes he'd worn for so long.
It wasn't until he came upon the garden that he'd felt anything beyond bland curiosity about the station he was currently living on. He certainly hadn't expected the sight he beheld when he'd set out to investigate them. Those couldn't actually be trees in there, could they?
Further investigation proved they weren't trees, but he was rather impressed despite himself at the manner in which the garden was laid out in addition to how much it managed to contain in such a finite space. Given how many plants were here, investigating them and their properties might even manage to keep him occupied for days possibly.
One could hope.

Knowing that she should start to meander her way back to her quarters, Padmé had risen and started to work her way through the gardens. It was clear though that she was in no rush as she lazily took her time, pausing now and then to regard a certain planet before moving on. Aside from aesthetics, they had never been much more for Padmé, knowing only rudimentary information, such as certain plants were good for tea while others could have medicinal properties.
There were usually people around, and it seemed to be no different today, although it was the appearance of the scarf that did draw her attention. Her own attire had no special features, generic enough, not that she minded. Still, she took a guess after watching him for several moments. "First time here...?"

When he approached it, he was quite surprised and well impressed with how well this garden was taken care of. For once since he arrived here, Lucius was content with himself as he strolled through it. He stopped every so often when a particular plant or flower held his attention.
At first he thought his mind was playing tricks on him when he caught a glimpse of Severus Snape in the garden as well. Only, upon closer inspection he found that it wasn't a trick. He was there. How could this be? First Regulus and now Severus?
He frowned a bit, unsure of what to do. Should he approach his old friend? Yet he felt that he had betrayed his friend by summoning to his death upon their Master's request. Steadying his shaking hands, Lucius forced himself to approach Severus. He had to know if it was really him and that this wasn't a cruel trick.
"Severus?" he quietly called out. It was a barely audible voice and there was a faint touch of hesitation and fear in it.

He had been spending the past hours sauntering through the gardens, basking in the lush beauty of nature and the conversations to be found here. You had to make your own fun in a place where there was no conquering or politicking to do. As a result, the back of his clothes held some grass stains, but his body language was at ease, the three bone blades protruding from each forearm laying flat against his arms in relaxation.
It never bothered him all that much if his conversation partners weren't looking for a chat, confident as he was in his ability to charm even the grumpiest soul.
"They put a lot of thought into the aesthetics of the gardens," his lips quirked wryly as he gestured at their clothes, "now if only they had put more thought into our clothes! It's an eyesore, isn't it? I've never felt quite so drab."

"Crap." Stupid vines.
Darcy Lewis - Thor/MCU
The brunette stumbled forward and held onto all the crap that they gave her. Really? No cell phones? Taking it a little far. She took a few cautious steps. Good news: Jane and Erik didn't get taken, Thor probably could find her with his magic tunnel thing. Bad news: she wasn't sure if Thor could reach this far in the universe.

Pinkie Pie | MLP: FiM
"I'm eating in spaaaaace! I'M EATING IN SPAAAAACE!" Pinkie Pie was excited to be in a new place, with free food! It would be even better if all her friends were here, but she'll have to get the places warmed up for them if they ever arrive. She'll also have to taste-test all the food.

He leaned against a table, arms casually crossed in front of his chest to best show off the three bone blades extending from his forearms. "Well, aren't you a happy one?" he drawled. Probably-not-a-Vedran or not, it was hard to resist teasing in the face of such giddiness. "I think there's plenty of food to try, though I'm more interested in the drinks."

Jane Kirk | Star Trek AOS
And if someone is crying, she might just have to do something about all this. A shuttle was a shuttle, and aviophobia was a real thing.
And so was freaking out at being kidnapped.
Maybe she should be more concerned about her situation, but currently she can't help but marvel at how...boring this kidnapping was. Outside the awesome new addition of some shiny new gold and red gems stuck to her chest, this was starting to feel like a weird time loop.
She crossed her legs at the ankle and folded her arms across her chest and waited.
Re: Jane Kirk | Star Trek AOS
No such luck, again.
He chose a seat at random and sat down. And then he became aware of his neighbors agitation.
"You might not be here long," he said, trying to offer her the most positive bit of knowledge he'd learned about this place.

Obi-Wan Kenobi | Star Wars
Upon settling in, Obi-Wan walked the corridors in exploration, eventually finding himself in the gardens. Sitting beneath a tree, it was here that he tried to meditate. An attempt to feel the Force, to reach out to it somehow. But he was having no luck. Just what had he gotten himself into here?
He could be easily found, sitting there beneath that tree in deep thought.

Plo Koon | Star Wars: The Clone Wars
He remembered the stares, the faraway words. He remembered asking questions, for all that his groggy state of mind could manage. Pushing his memory further back, he could remember the shock of cold, the pained breath that had lasted only seconds. Beyond that, well, there was still no logical, feasible explanation other than what had been provided him once he had been properly administered to.
The automated voice above mentioned something about a habitat station. It seemed that the shuttle ride would be over soon, although his thoughts hung upon the words, the language he had heard spoken, understood somehow yet nothing he was certain he had ever heard in all his three-hundred plus years. The Kel Dor took silent stock of himself as he sat there, draped in perhaps the most brightest colors he had ever worn in his entire life. Slowly he got to his feet as the shuttle pulled in, making sure that he had everything that he had been provided with before he began to step towards the exit.
A wild Skywalker appears
Someone he might know.
And this time he was rewarded with a familiar face. He didn't know all the Jedi Masters well, but Master Koon was one he took special notice of - Master Koon was one of the best pilots in the Order, and he wanted to be as good a pilot as him.
"Master Koon!" He said, his excitement unbecoming a proper Jedi, but Anakin was twelve and hardly in control of his emotions.

Martha Jones | Doctor Who | Cafeteria
She filled her plate with some of everything. EVERYTHING. There was no way a person of her stature could possibly eat all of it, but she was going to try damn the consequences. And whatever she didn't eat? Well, she'd stockpile it for later.

She noticed the woman ahead of her, noticed her tray loaded with food. But while that stuck out at her - clearly this woman was hungry - what Bitterblue noticed most was the new face.
Another abductee.
She put on a friendly smile. "Hello, you must be one of the new arrivals."
God I'm sorry. Thought I'd have lots of boomerang time last night... and then circumstances changed.

Leia Organa (five years old) | Star Wars | Shuttle
Everything but the ring was bundled up in her spare set of clothes; the ring was kind of pretty so she'd put it on, finding it to be just her size. They'd sent her to the shuttle with everyone else and told her that someone would be there to meet her when she got off. That didn't make her feel much better either.
She sat in the shuttle's seat, her legs drawn up as she curled around her small bundle of possessions, feeling very small and very alone, despite the people around her. She wouldn't cry. She kept telling herself that. She needed to be brave.
But she was tired, and scared, and everything felt weird and empty. She missed her mommy and daddy, Scruffy (her stuffed baby wookie doll), and Waffles (her pet wolf-cat). She even missed 3P0 and his long lessons about manners.
She wanted to go home.
/chucks a clone
It was here he found himself at the shuttle stop, waiting to see who had arrived.
Echo found there wasn't too big a difference with the crowd that came off of the transport, but he did notice that there was someone among them who was way too small to be by herself. But maybe it was just a very small adult?
He leaned back. No. His eyes weren't fooling him. "...A kid?"

General Hux | Star Wars Force Awakens
He took long strides through the crowd, ignoring anyone looking at him. He surveyed the area wanting to figure out who to approach for better answers. As the people he talked to earlier didn't give very clear answers.
The general quickly assumed that he was being reconditioned to their way of life...something that he opposed of. He didn't ask to be here. He had other matters to attend to. If he had his way he was going to recondition this place to his methods. This place was already testing his patience, which was very short lived.
Tiny future general is watchin' you.
So an Important Imperial then? She could be wrong. But definitely someone to keep an eye on. She waited until he'd passed by and was partway down the next section of corridor before scurrying out after him, then ducking behind a support beam out of sight, only to peek out again and repeat the process when he'd moved on further, always careful to keep him in sight. Her super-secret mission to follow the weird guy was underway. She wondered how long she could keep it up before he realized she was following.

Kylo Ren | Star Wars: The Force Awakens
There was a burning knot of fury in his chest - centered, it seemed, around those strange gemstones - but he currently looked more moody than angry.
He may be found staring out at the view, his thoughts wandering.
Have a tiny mom. <3
She waited until he turned to look out the viewport before going over, pretending that she just wanted to look out the viewport too. This casual approach probably would have been more effective if she didn't have to stand on tiptoes to see out, but she made the best of it, folding her arms on the sill and resting her chin on her hands.
For a long moment, she was quiet, trying to find something to say. "Do like looking out at the stars too, Mr.?", she finally asked. "They're still pretty, even if they're not the ones from back home."

Narcissa Malfoy | Harry Potter books | Cafeteria
Narcissa was nothing if not tasteful, it showed from her poise to the elegance with which she styled her long blond hair. The clothing she'd been given in lieu of her robes was nothing of her fashion either, drab and shapeless at least they weren't some of the pale pastel things she'd seen. She preferred the dark, rich jewel tones she had worn all her life, and dark red or emerald were never far from her. Here she managed with a dark green though it lacked any sort of depth or character to it.
She still gazed levelly at the woman before her, as if somehow this would change things. "This wouldn't be fed to animals on my estate." But, as it was the first food she'd been able to obtain in nearly a day she took it and whirled on her heel giving every impression that she was doing the servicers a favor to even agree to take their food.
The Blacks would never have stood for this and the Malfoys, well she knew Draco wouldn't accept it until he'd nearly starved himself. Still, if she hoped to discover how to get back to her family she would need to eat, dire times called for dire measures. Things could very well get worse.
Feeling like a common person, a new feeling for her, she wound her way through the cafeteria looking for an empty table. That way she would not, at least, have to speak to these people while she ate.

His grey eyes easily spied his wife among the crowd. Surprise showed briefly in his eyes, at her presence being here. Despite having to wear the clothing here, she managed to outshine everyone in the room. They didn't do her justice at all. He could tell just by the way she stood, she wasn't happy at all.
He strode through the room, his head held high, and his own presence demanding the respect his status reserved. His health had returned since his arrival here, but nothing would get rid of the haunted look from his time in Azkaban and as a servant of the Dark Lord. He was dressed much like the others, his walking stick no longer present. He despised not having it with him.
Lucius approached his wife and place a hand on her shoulder. "Narcissa, please follow me," he said in spoke in a soft tone. He was not going to explain everything here, knowing that the information he would have to give would distress her.

As she hugs herself from the distress of the lack of a reply from Bill.
"Somethings not right about this... Where am I?"
Mable then notices her sweater is gone and she's wearing rags. She gasps in shock.

Rainbow Dash | My Little Pony: FIM | Shuttle
However she looked though, to say Dash wasn’t happy would be the understatement of the century. Sure, she had been living with humans and what not for a while now, but THIS?! First they drag her into space, implant horrible girly gems into her chest that she can’t take out and THEN they expect her to wear jewelry!?
“They are SO lucky my energy is zapped.” She yawned, talking to herself for the moment. She held up her hooves and looked over her new accessories. She could imagine that Rarity would have a world or two about them. The ring was on her right hoof still, but once she had enough rest Dash had a plan to loose it fast. The communication device on her left arm wasn’t SO bad. “These things better not slow me down in the air.”

Despite the lingering weakness, the smell of food was certainly something not to be ignored. If there was free food, he wasn't about to overlook that. Lily Evans - Harry Potter - OTA
Lily walked the raised path looping around one of the towering vine structures, and fought with the part of herself that could admire beauty even in the midst of experiencing kidnapping.
"Okay fine," she grumbled to herself. "This is beautiful." But she said it with a frown, as with her arms crossed, so it has difficult to find the compliment. She walked to the railing and leaned against it, just taking a moment to look out down over the gardens below. She wasn't sure what she'd expected of space, but this wasn't it.
[Cemetery Ring]
Lily reached out a hesitant hand and tentatively touched the abstract blue gem fixed to the wall. The moment her finger made contact she withdrew it, connecting what it was she was looking at.
"Oh." This was the Owmi way to memorialize the dead. Oh. This wasn't just an interesting room full of colorful lights fixed to the wall.
Lily gripped her hand into a fist and held it at her side, looking around, expecting someone official to show up and tell her to stop desecrating the dead.

Re: Cemetery Ring
Anakin Solo | Star Wars Legends | OTA
Really, he should be used to such situations. It's hardly the first time that Anakin has found himself among strangers or no longer beside the people he does know. Tahiri, Ikrit, even R2-D2 aren't anywhere to be seen and they had been the last individuals anywhere near him, he doesn't think he'll find anyone familiar among the crowd. What's worse is that he can't feel anything. Not his siblings or any other Jedi or even the machines that are right in front of him. His connection to the Force has been severed and it's more unbalancing than anything else. The Force has been with him all his life - he can't remember a time without it... not even when it was suppressed by others who were better trained than he was.
Which is why he allowed himself to be herded along with the rest of the crowd into a shuttle that would take him to who knew where. The stars outside are unfamiliar which meant he was so far from home and far from everything he knew. Even the shuttle was strange. Not like anything he'd ever seen before. Anakin was curious as to how they worked. Without the Force he couldn't sense anything at all but he still had his eyes.
So here he is, an eleven year old kid is watching everything around him with interest. The ship, the stars, the people. He certainly doesn't look scared.
Multipurpose Common Area
There's no denying that the Owmi have different technology from what he's used to. That may be why when Anakin started to tinker with the view screen to determine how it worked. He carefully set various objects aside in an order that might only make sense to the individual who pulled it apart in the first place. What is clear is that he's made it impossible for others to watch any vids on the large screen. He's knee-deep in things now, with his back to the rest of the room as he pulled more parts out so he can inspect them.
When he can sense someone in the room (not having the Force to rely on means it takes him longer) Anakin will reach back without so much as turning around to see who it is.
"Can you hand me that blue thing with all the wires sticking out." He made a vague gesture towards where he'd put it last.
Planet Exploration
Given the opportunity to explore a new planet is not one Anakin can pass up. When it was offered to him, he jumped on the chance. Now he's currently inside one of the caves looking up at the strange marking. To his eyes is cannot possibly have been made naturally. This was made by something or someone who had been here once before. Not much of a surprise considering how many planets in his galaxy can and do support life.
The question is where is the individual who made it? They could live deep in the caves and be friendly or perhaps dangerous. Or maybe they all died off a long time ago. There were plenty of cave-ins that they could have been trapped with no escape. If there was something he could do to help, Anakin wanted to do it. Even if all he could do was figure out what had happened to them. Except he knew all too well the danger of going into a cave without properly preparing. He'd need supplies, be sure his comlink worked and maybe even someone who could actually be able to sense things since he currently couldn't.
That's why he headed back toward the mouth of the cave towards the camp with a purpose he wouldn't be persuaded from.

Ten stands in place rather confused. Here he is standing in spacecraft going who knows where and doesn't seem to know how he got there.
"Where's my Tardis?"
Cemetery Ring
At another point in time, Ten has wandered the part of the ship where he comes across the Cemetery Ring. He's very, very as he is thinking about all the other Time Lords that had been lost during the last Time War.
Re: The Doctor
"Excuse me, what's a TARDIS?" He asked.

Don't worry. She's actually getting help in the game and won't be quite this bad if he shows up.

Luke Skywalker | Star Wars OT
Whatever one's reason for being there, one still must eat. At least, that's what Luke told himself, when newly arrived, he found himself in the cafeteria. Sure, there was a lot to figure out, a lot he didn't know, and a lot he should probably be doing to fix both of those things, but as his stomach rumbled and he smelled something delicious he told himself that an empty stomach was no way to start out.
Especially cut off, as he was, from the Force. It worried him, but he had just enough discipline to realize he needed to take this step by step. Food was a step.
Luke had been raised on Tatooine, and spent the past four years in rebel bases and out on missions. It was inevitable that nearly any type of food beyond a bland diet of scarcity was going to be alluring, and as he sat, he found himself with far too much on his plate, having been unable to decide.
Re: Luke Skywalker | Star Wars OT
"Luke!", she called out as she hurried up to him, grinning broadly. She'd remember to actually go get her own lunch shortly. For now, there were more important things.

Finn (FN-2187) | Star Wars: The Force Awakens | OTA
Finn settled into a seat, absently scratching at his chest, his bundle of new belongings forgotten in his lap - exhausted of body, numb of mind. He'd failed. He knew empirically that it wasn't his fault, that the situation wasn't even necessarily what his brain kept trying to make it to be, but still...
This wasn't the First Order. He'd not been captured by the First Order, despite his last memories before waking here. Of that much, he really could be certain, regardless of how his mind kept trying to work it into that mental box because nothing else made sense. Everything he'd experienced was nowhere near how the First Order would handle the recapture of a traitor. But he'd been so sure - so scared - that that was what was going to happen, that he was having a hard time accepting anything else.
He looked around the shuttle. Where was Rey? Where were Han and Chewie? Maz? Anyone else from the castle that he might even remotely recognize? Was he dreaming or awake? What the hell was really going on?
((ooc: I might change his pull point later, but for now, I'm going with that, on Takodana when the FO shows up and Finn's confronted and knocked down by the one stormtrooper, he hit his head hard enough to briefly go cross-eyed or lose consciousness, before Han shot the guy. So he's still a bit dazed and half-thinks FO has him, even though actual experiences since waking say otherwise.))
Hello, Traitor.
There was a lot he wanted to say and to the traitor, but now he refrained. He took a deep breath to calm himself and approached the former trooper. He may not have his First Order uniform on, but he was wearing his Great Coat...which seemed to clash against the clothing the Omnwi had provided.
"FN-2187," Hux coolly greeted. As he spoke he made sure to keep his face impassive.
OMG /running now! XD
I promise, I don't bite.
Haha, sorry, it'll take him another moment to actually find his voice again. 9,9

Padmé Naberrie Amidala-Skywalker | Post - Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
"...why?" her voice likely didn't carry very far, but there were people around her who might listen - and even if they didn't, she felt better putting her chaotic thoughts into a question.
Why?
The shuttle came to a halt and she exited it, her feet feeling heavy. Maybe she needed to rest. Leaning her shoulder against a wall, she forced herself to breathe deep. Life had always been a blessing for her. She knew it would be so again. It had to be. Somehow she would...heal.
There was truly no other choice.

It was a bit more difficult for Leia to locate Padmé than it was with most of her relatives, due to the lack of a Force connection, even a dormant one, on Padmé's side, but the connection- however passive- was still there. And as she got closer, it was laced with a sense of urgency. Her mommy was... well, not in danger, exactly, but certainly in distress, more than just the confusion and dizziness of arrival via Orakalla could account for.
Rounding a corner, the shuttle port came into view. As did a petite woman leaning tiredly against the wall. A woman that til now, she'd known only from dreams and pictures. This woman was closer to the one in her dreams, however, if only due to her sadness. Though everything about her from her posture to how she felt in the Force spoke of several levels of exhaustion at the moment, the undercurrent of sadness that Leia had always felt from the woman in her dreams was still there.
But this wasn't a dream. This was real. And this time, Leia could do something. She approached Padmé quietly; much as she wanted to run up and hug her she knew that that might a bit much for Padmé just now. Instead, she simply looked up at her and said, "Mommy? Are you alright?"
