.002 The Fleet's Test Drive Meme

The Fleet: Test Drive Meme. 2. Comment with your thread start, with your character name and fandom in the subject line. 3. Tag into other's threads. 4. Have fun! 5. And what happens on the TDM defaults to staying on the TDM (it's not taken in game), unless all players involved agree AND you have mod approval to c&p the thread to the log comm. You must get mod approval. **If you have questions, ask the Mods You've arrived! You've been seen by a coolly efficient (what you hope is a) medical professional - after all they did give you a shot of something. Then you were handed a slew of things you're still trying to process - communication devices, a ring (which is also a key?), a piece of transparent film that's flashing information. And clothing, that was a thoughtful gesture. And then there was the explanation - You've been taken (isn't that a nice way of saying 'kidnapped') by that floating orb of light, you can't leave, but while you're here you get room and board. Is that really a fair trade? Oh, and to top everything off, you have a set of gem like stones set into your chest, that you can't remove. Before you know it, you've moved with the crowd towards the shuttle and now that you are sitting down, it's now suddenly sinking in. You are so very far from home. [NOTE: Please note that the actual arrival process is different from the above scenario - please see the New Arrivals Page for a detailed explanation of the arrival process.] [Cafeteria] You’re hungry, and though the smells coming from the cafeteria are strange, they are alluring. The grumble in your belly tells you it’s worth chancing. [Multipurpose Common Area] You’re bored but haven’t quite worked up the courage to venture out into the greater parts of the station. The common area of the residential community seems like it might provide some distractions. And the view out the large windows lining one wall is simply stunning. [The Center Station Central Gardens] In an environment where spatial expansion is finite, it seems extravagant to house a garden this big. What looks like giant trees at first glance, turn outo be the wire structures that rise up six stores before fanning out actually house various breeds of creeping vines. There are two levels of raised walkways that wind around the vine structures. The ground level also wraps lazily through various plots of vegetation. There is enough variety of plants here to keep anyone interested for hours. [Cemetery Ring] If you’re in more for a somber atmosphere, the Cemetery Ring is open to everyone. The first sign posted outside the door reads "We are the lights that shines brightest against the night." The sign below it simply says "All are welcome." This wide corridor, that traverses the whole very top of the Inner Rings, is dimly lit, but pinpoints of light twinkle all over the wall. The wall juts out in an effort to create more surface area for memorials to those Owmi who have passed on to the next life since the Owmi started their nomadic journey. The peacefulness of the room is inviting. [Strange Lights - previous plot] Something strange is happening. You've been here just a few days and before you can even get used to the fact you are an abductee of a glowing ball of light, you now have an aura of lights hanging around your head. The colors change, and if you watch them for a moment (from a mirror - they are hard to get a good look of out of the corner of your eye) you notice they match the colors of the gem like stones fixed to your chest. And if you're really observant, you might catch on that the colors and intensity of the lights change with your mood. [Pinkie Pie's Fun Day Celebration - previous plot] Confetti/Glitter Bombs! Sometimes there’s a pair of eyes watching various residents going in and out of their rooms. Or walking around the habitat station at various places. Wherever your character may be, Pinkie is waiting with a bucket full of confetti or glitter. She forgets which one she takes with her since she prepared so many for this day. How she’s getting around without being noticed is a mystery, but that works just fine for her! Common Area Mingling! At the common area, Pinkie has the entire place decked out with balloons, confetti, several piñatas hanging from the ceiling (how did they get up there?!), and an area set up for games. She couldn’t find the actual games like the ones back home, so she had to make them herself. There’s chess, Twister, but instead of boring circles, there’s images of pink icing-covered donuts, chocolate chip cookies, blue cupcakes, and pistachio ice cream cups taped to the floor in four rows of ten, a place to play card games with images of herself in various costumes along with the card suits. There are several cakes with names attached to them on any table she could find. There’s one large cake with no name for everyone and everypony to share! It’s oddly plain, isn’t it? Not suspicious at all! There’s also snacks like fruit, cheese, crackers, cookies, and drinks to enjoy! No alcohol, though! Sorry! This party is rated G! And of course the party has piñata. A blindfold and stick are ready for the first challenger! Choose any piñata there! One looks dangerous! They’re filled with candy! Or confetti! Or both! “Step right up, ladies and gentlecolts! Try your luck and break open a piñata!” [NOTE: Please note that Pinkie Pie is no longer in game, so she will not be responding to any threads using this option.] [Planet Exploration: Baj E'oku Prime - current plot] A new opportunity! No longer do you need to wander the giant space Habitat Station. You now get the opportunity to explore a section of the planet Baj E'oku Prime. It's small, tidal locked planet. The area you can explore is dusty and red with surprising wild life. There are canyons and highlands, rivers and caves to explore. (See link for greater details.) What adventures or trouble will you find? |
General Hux | Star Wars Force Awakens
He took long strides through the crowd, ignoring anyone looking at him. He surveyed the area wanting to figure out who to approach for better answers. As the people he talked to earlier didn't give very clear answers.
The general quickly assumed that he was being reconditioned to their way of life...something that he opposed of. He didn't ask to be here. He had other matters to attend to. If he had his way he was going to recondition this place to his methods. This place was already testing his patience, which was very short lived.
Tiny future general is watchin' you.
So an Important Imperial then? She could be wrong. But definitely someone to keep an eye on. She waited until he'd passed by and was partway down the next section of corridor before scurrying out after him, then ducking behind a support beam out of sight, only to peek out again and repeat the process when he'd moved on further, always careful to keep him in sight. Her super-secret mission to follow the weird guy was underway. She wondered how long she could keep it up before he realized she was following.
as she should
So this place was not above to taking children either. Intriguing. Was she here for reconditioning as well or did they treat children differently? The First Order took children and trained them from the start to be a Storm Trooper.
"It helps if one quiets their steps a little more," General Hux commented in an amused tone, letting the young girl he was aware of her presence.
no subject
She stepped out from behind the beam and looked up at the man. "Maybe next time I'll try it with bare feet," she said. "Though I dunno if that'd be quieter or not, since the floor is hard instead of carpet." Would bare feet make more noise on the deckplates than shoes, or less? Clearly something to experiment with later.
no subject
"Exactly why are you following me in the first place? Aren't there other children to play with?" Hux exactly wasn't children material and really didn't know how to talk to them either.
no subject
"There's Owmi kids I met in school," Leia said. "But I'm not really friends with any of them." She shrugged slightly. It wasn't that they disliked her, really, or she them, they just... weren't quite sure what to make of each other yet.
"And I was following you because you act like you're someone important," she said. "Plus the way you walk kind of reminds me of the Imperial troopers I've seen. So I figured you might be an Important Imperial and that if I followed you enough I might see if I was right or not."
no subject
"I'm General Hux of the First Order. We are based on the principles of the Empire." The general replied. He was quite proud of serving for the First Order and he didn't care what she may think. "Now that you know what you are going to do with his new found information?"
no subject
His question made her think, though. What was she planning to do with it? Probably tell Anakin and Mr. Kenobi; they'd want to know if there was a sort-of Imperial person here. But beyond that... "I'm not sure," she admitted. "I usually just like knowing things like that because grown-ups don't really expect kids to know much. And if they think you don't know much, they'll talk about all kinds of things with you around cause they think you don't understand it; I've found out a lot of neat stuff that way." And some bad stuff too. But more neat stuff so far.
no subject
"Well, they are wrong to think that children wouldn't understand such things. Tell me more about your family," Hux prompted.
no subject
She did straighten up a little at being told that adults were wrong to doubt children's understanding of things. It wasn't often that grown ups agreed to that sort of thing. Though it did mean she'd have to be more careful what she said around him. "My mommy's a Queen and my daddy's a Sen'tor," she said. "They're both really nice and do their best to help make good rules for everyone. I have three aunts too; I love them, but they're almost as fussy as our protocol droid about manners and things. They want me to be the kind of princess who just stands there quietly and looks pretty and basically doesn't do anything fun ever. But I wanna be like my daddy when I grow up, going to lots of different places on dippomatic missions and helping people."
no subject
"You look a little lost there," he said once within range, his tone suggesting a slight smile that couldn't be seen behind the dark T-visor of his helmet.
no subject
"State your unit destination and rank, trooper," Hux replied in a business like matter.
no subject
"CT-twenty-seven-dash-five-five-five-five," he replied. "ARC Trooper with th' Five-oh-First. Th' name's Fives." He gestured loosely at their surroundings. "Welcome to th' Owmi Fleet, I guess."
no subject
"CT-27-5555/ARC-5555, who is your commanding officer?" he questioned in an authoritative tone. He wanted to have a word with them. He didn't care where they were...but he was not too pleased with this troop's behavior. He dismissed the greeting all together.
no subject
"My commanding officer is General Skywalker, sir," he replied, not able to keep a bit of attitude from coloring his tone. "Although right now, it doesn't matter much considerin' we're far from th' war. ...not to mention we're not all exactly from along th' same timeframe."
no subject
"Correction CT-27-5555/ARC-5555, it matters all the time." Hux reprimanded.
no subject
"That would be General Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight."
no subject
"How long have you been to the Owmi Fleet?"
no subject
"You know, you never did mention your own name," he said, notably dropping formalities. This fresh-faced kid may speak and act like militia, but for all Fives knew, he could be a lieutenant or some snotty deckhand that liked to think themselves superior to clones.
"And as for how long I've been here, I'd say over two months."
no subject
"I am General Hux of the First Order. We are based on the Empire's ideology." He replied in a tone that indicated that he was quite proud of who he was and served for.

new strategy: throw someone terrible at Hux first so Regulus will look grand in comparison
The man seemed to be looking for someone, or waiting for someone, but he stood there all alone, and he looked so grumpy that the personification of North Italy felt his heart bleed with sympathy. He knew all about grumpy people, and their need to be cheered up.
The young man made his way through the crowd, frustratingly only at regular human speed, and came to a full stop in front of the tall red-haired stranger. The curl sticking out from the side of his head bounced cheerily, and he was already beaming as if he had met his new best friend. As a rule, every person he met was his new best friend.
"Ciao~" he chirped, "you're looking unhappy! Are you lost? Are you hungry? Is your friend late? I'm late all the time, too!"
This is going to end badly
It bothered him even more that the person didn't get a hint and was still following him. Hux resorted to glaring down at him. "I have important matters to attend to." He stated in an authoritative tone.
no subject
"I have important things to do, too," Feliciano stated boldly, and naturally made no move whatsoever to go attend to these matters. He tilted his head and cooed. "Are you a soldier? You move like a soldier." Feli gave another little coo. "Which nation do you serve? I'm Italian." He looked sadly down himself at his dull clothes. "But they lost my uniform, too."
no subject
Italian...? was he referring to the Earth? "I am not from the Earth."
no subject
Feli's face brightened again, he squinted happily at him. "But you can be my friend anyway! Who are you? I've been trying to remember to ask for my friends' names. It's really hard to call them if you don't know their names!" Yes, he knew this from experience.
