[Shuttle]
You've arrived! You've been seen by a coolly efficient (what you hope is a) medical professional - after all they did give you a shot of something. Then you were handed a slew of things you're still trying to process - communication devices, a ring (which is also a key?), a piece of transparent film that's flashing information. And clothing, that was a thoughtful gesture. And then there was the explanation - You've been taken (isn't that a nice way of saying 'kidnapped') by that floating orb of light, you can't leave, but while you're here you get room and board. Is that really a fair trade? Oh, and to top everything off, you have a set of gem like stones set into your chest, that you can't remove.

Before you know it, you've moved with the crowd towards the shuttle and now that you are sitting down, it's now suddenly sinking in.

You are so very far from home.

[NOTE: Please note that the actual arrival process is different from the above scenario - please see the New Arrivals Page for a detailed explanation of the actual arrival process.]

[Cafeteria]
You’re hungry, and though the smells coming from the cafeteria are strange, they are alluring. The grumble in your belly tells you it’s worth chancing.

~ ~

[Multipurpose Common Area]
You’re bored but haven’t quite worked up the courage to venture out into the greater parts of the station. The common area of the residential community seems like it might provide some distractions. And the view out the large windows lining one wall is simply stunning.

~ ~

[The Center Station Central Gardens]
In an environment where spatial expansion is finite, it seems extravagant to house a garden this big. What looks like giant trees at first glance, turn outo be the wire structures that rise up six stores before fanning out actually house various breeds of creeping vines. There are two levels of raised walkways that wind around the vine structures. The ground level also wraps lazily through various plots of vegetation. There is enough variety of plants here to keep anyone interested for hours.

[Cemetery Ring]
If you’re in more for a somber atmosphere, the Cemetery Ring is open to everyone.

The first sign posted outside the door reads "We are the lights that shines brightest against the night." The sign below it simply says "All are welcome."

This wide corridor, that traverses the whole very top of the Inner Rings, is dimly lit, but pinpoints of light twinkle all over the wall. The wall juts out in an effort to create more surface area for memorials to those Owmi who have passed on to the next life since the Owmi started their nomadic journey.

The peacefulness of the room is inviting.

Someone is indeed following the hair, eyes steadily growing wider the longer it goes on. Is there any end to the hair?

When she does reach the end of it, Leia's almost surprised to find a human at the other end. "Wow!", Leia said by way of a greeting. "You've got the most hair I've ever seen on anyone ever! I didn't know humans could have that much hair!"

The thing about having such long hair, Rapunzel never knows when someone finds the end of it and follows it back to her. It could be seen seventy feet away if stretched out straight and it could curve around corners so someone could easily find her just by that alone.

So she doesn't exactly expect someone to follow it and is surprised by the sudden appearance of a young girl popping out of the greenery. Rapunzel gave the girl a sheepish smile. "It's been growing since I was born and I've never cut it." She took a moment to look around, make sure they were alone before leaning in. "Can you keep a secret?"

Leia nodded. She could believe that easily. "Women and girls where I'm from are supposed to wear their hair long and done up in fancy styles, especially if their family is rich," she said. "I don't think any of them has hair that long though. I'd like to cut mine short, but then my aunts would probably make me wear a wig til it grew back."

And a secret? Leia was good at keeping secrets; she'd kept her own for years back home, after all. Leia smiled and nodded more vigorously, leaning in. "What's the secret?", she said in a conspiratorial tone.

This is hair eighteen years in the making, hopefully Leia's hair won't be this long when she reached that age. Brushing it could take longer than any of her other chores. "Do you like wearing it up in fancy styles?" Rapunzel has only ever had her hair done up once, courtesy of some local girls in Corona. Maybe this girl could give her some tips because she can't go around with it long all of time.

Rapunzel cupped her mouth with both hands. "It's magic. When I sing, it can heal wounds." She won't mention that it can also rejuvenate someone so that they look young again. What she does do is pull it back so that the short brown strands can be seen. "If you cut it, it loses the magic."

No, hers will be kept to butt-length at the most; it wouldn't do for the crown Princess of Alderaan to have her hair dragging on the ground after all.

"Not the really fancy ones," Leia said. "Those take a long time to do and you have to sit there and hold still the whole time or you could mess it up. Plus they take about a million hair pins and things, and then you have to sit still more while they take them all out later." The number of hair pins is certainly an exaggeration, but still it's a lot.

"I like braids though," she said. "I could show you some Alderaanian ones, though we might have to change them a little since you have so much hair."

Leia grinned at the secret. "That sounds really useful!", she said. "Does it still work since you got here? Usually being brought here takes away any special powers you have, though they can come back later."
