You've been seen by a coolly efficient (what you hope is a) medical professional - after all they did give you a shot of something. Then you were handed a slew of things you're still trying to process - communication devices, a ring (which is also a key?), a piece of transparent film that's flashing information. And clothing, that was a thoughtful gesture. And then there was the explanation - You've been taken (isn't that a nice way of saying 'kidnapped') by that floating orb of light, you can't leave, but while you're here you get room and board. Is that really a fair trade? Oh, and to top everything off, you have a set of gem like stones set into your chest, that you can't remove. Before you know it, you've moved with the crowd towards the shuttle and now that you are sitting down, it's now suddenly sinking in. You are so very far from home. [NOTE: Please note that the actual arrival process is different from the above scenario - please see the New Arrivals Page for a detailed explanation of the actual arrival process.] ~ ☼ ~ [Cafeteria] You’re hungry, and though the smells coming from the cafeteria are strange, they are alluring. The grumble in your belly tells you it’s worth chancing. ~ ☼ ~ [Multipurpose Common Area] You’re bored but haven’t quite worked up the courage to venture out into the greater parts of the station. The common area of the residential community seems like it might provide some distractions. And the view out the large windows lining one wall is simply stunning. ~ ☼ ~ [The Center Station Central Gardens] In an environment where spatial expansion is finite, it seems extravagant to house a garden this big. What looks like giant trees at first glance, turn outo be the wire structures that rise up six stores before fanning out actually house various breeds of creeping vines. There are two levels of raised walkways that wind around the vine structures. The ground level also wraps lazily through various plots of vegetation. There is enough variety of plants here to keep anyone interested for hours. ~ ☼ ~ [Cemetery Ring] If you’re in more for a somber atmosphere, the Cemetery Ring is open to everyone. The first sign posted outside the door reads "We are the lights that shines brightest against the night." The sign below it simply says "All are welcome." This wide corridor, that traverses the whole very top of the Inner Rings, is dimly lit, but pinpoints of light twinkle all over the wall. The wall juts out in an effort to create more surface area for memorials to those Owmi who have passed on to the next life since the Owmi started their nomadic journey. The peacefulness of the room is inviting. ~ ☼ ~

"Took me a few months to get my clothing back. The Owmi try to be accommodating but I can see how their fashion tastes would not be suitable to your own." Hell5 smile a little knowing the long flowing clothing certainly were a polar opposite to what Cad Bane would usually wear.

"They usually appear in your room, so your hat will likely appear soon enough "

"Months?" He made an annoyed sound. "I'll be long gone before that."

Or so he hoped.

"You sound like you've been here a while."

Which sounded impossible but rumours of alternate worlds and timelines had already filtered down to him. This may just confirm it.

"I thought the same but I've been here for... the better part of a year now." He sighed, shaking his head. "However you may be lucky and have your hat returned in only a few weeks."

He hadn't been one of the lucky souls unfortunately, but he had been glad to slowly be regaining his force abilities over time.

"Haven't you tried to break out of here?"

If a Jedi could really become so trapped here, he didn't think that that was a good sign.

"I was advised against it. Apparently my former padawan and his troops that were here tried to commandeer a shuttle to leave. However it was an exceedingly painful experience that led to them waking up in the same fashion with the orkalla UT in immense physical pain. I haven't tried it myself but recommend against attempting such a thing." He explained, huffing a frustrated sigh. He really wanted nothing more than to get back to her hermitage but sadly things were not ending in his favour.

"I doubt you're telling me this out of the goodness of your heart," Bane said dryly. "More as a deterrent to stop me from looking for an escape."

By his tone, it said that such words wouldn't work. Stubbornly, he wasn't about to trust Obi-Wan just like that. He still suspected that he was in on this somehow.

"Well look all you like but if you try that method, it's your funeral after all, not mine." He shrugged, "But then again this is neutral ground. I have no reasoning to lead you astray. We are both guests of the Owmi after all."

He had a feeling Cad wasn't about to listen but it really would be nothing but his own damn fault if he didn't bother to listen to Obi-wan. Then again, he was starting to get accustomed to people blatantly ignoring his advice.

"'Guests' is a very strange thing to call those who've being kidnapped and imprisoned," he glanced around then back to Obi-Wan. "You mentioned a padawan and troops. There are others here?"

"It's not their choice we're here. I'm certain they'd likely rather us not be here if they had the choice and we're less peaceful." He replied, "There ate others here. The troopers are gone, however Anakin remains as do some others from universes very different from our own."

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Not the people he'd most want to see around. It still sounds like some sort of weird and elaborate trap to him so he remained cautious.

"So what do you do all day long?"

He himself didn't like to be idle and looking for exits wouldn't take up all of his time, even if he kept alert for such opportunities.

"Work primarily. It's not necessary here but it keeps the days from seeming endless." He said, "Otherwise, primarily meditation."

"Jedi work?"

He wasn't entirely sure what that entailed but he couldn't see someone like Obi-Wan or other Jedi just doing random jobs.

"Yes, we do have to maintain our temples and ships. Many Jedi do tasks that aren't just lights Aberdeen skills and meditation." Obi-wan huffed an annoyed sigh. "I have worked in maintenance and repairing ships and electronics at the temple while I was young."

[cadbane]

"Do you have access to those here?" That's what it sounded like to Bane and he wanted to confirm.

He didn't think he wanted to live in a Jedi-centered space station, with temples and such.

"Some of us do," He answered cryptically. "Not all."

The Owmi certainly would not allow for any Jedi temples to arise within their own society. And if Obi-wan was honest, he was too tired to put in the sheer amounts of work running a temple would be.

"Are you saying you're not trusted enough yet? Why would that not surprise me...," there was clearly bitterness in his tone.

He's taken that deception and betrayal hard.

"Perhaps, I'm not entirely sure why the orkalla gives some their weapons back and others not." He said simply.

"I'm guessing that you're still upset about the entire event where we were almost both killed?"

"It was my mistake to not let Eval kill you when he wanted to."

This all wasn't long ago for him. It was fresh and bitter. He'd saved this man's life twice, by his own count - in the Box and earlier against the Jedi Skywalker, but now he thought about it, that was probably just a ruse. He was unaware that Anakin didn't know at the time that it was Obi-Wan. Now it was beginning to all look like a big show, at his expense.

He had been temporarily imprisoned afterward - but worse, he never had gotten paid.

"Ah, well. I must admit I do owe you a great amount of thanks for saving my life twice. You're a very skilled bounty hunter Cad. Anakin had no idea that I was alive or that I was in disguise, he would have certainly killed me out of revenge." He admitted and ran his hand through his hair remembering those days. It felt like a lifetime ago that had happened since so much had shifted and changed since then.

"Holding onto such a grudge will make the time your here intolerable, also I'd be careful if you run into Anakin. He's more.... tempermental than you perhaps remember him being."

He didn't think Anakin to be much of a threat - definitely having no idea about anything he may have dealt with later. Any Jedi could pose a challenge but not one that couldn't be overcome, he thought.

"Sure, you owe me big time."

Maybe it had been his own mistake for not trusting his first instincts better but hindsight and all...

"If you make it up to me, we can call it even."

"Well I'm certain that's merely a matter of time." He replied with a chuckle. "Things tend to work out in strange ways here."

Hopefully Cad wouldnt cause too much of a stir for the Owmi. He didn't want to see the man who had helped someone of his kin at the time imprisoned for simply trying to find a way off of the ship.

"And if you think that means getting you off this ship you're sorely mistaken."

"Then what use are you?" The words, though, seemed slyly joking more than serious.

He was likely to cause some trouble here while looking for ways out, subtly or otherwise.
