You've been seen by a coolly efficient (what you hope is a) medical professional - after all they did give you a shot of something. Then you were handed a slew of things you're still trying to process - communication devices, a ring (which is also a key?), a piece of transparent film that's flashing information. And clothing, that was a thoughtful gesture. And then there was the explanation - You've been taken (isn't that a nice way of saying 'kidnapped') by that floating orb of light, you can't leave, but while you're here you get room and board. Is that really a fair trade? Oh, and to top everything off, you have a set of gem like stones set into your chest, that you can't remove. Before you know it, you've moved with the crowd towards the shuttle and now that you are sitting down, it's now suddenly sinking in. You are so very far from home. [NOTE: Please note that the actual arrival process is different from the above scenario - please see the New Arrivals Page for a detailed explanation of the actual arrival process.] ~ ☼ ~ [Cafeteria] You’re hungry, and though the smells coming from the cafeteria are strange, they are alluring. The grumble in your belly tells you it’s worth chancing. ~ ☼ ~ [Multipurpose Common Area] You’re bored but haven’t quite worked up the courage to venture out into the greater parts of the station. The common area of the residential community seems like it might provide some distractions. And the view out the large windows lining one wall is simply stunning. ~ ☼ ~ [The Center Station Central Gardens] In an environment where spatial expansion is finite, it seems extravagant to house a garden this big. What looks like giant trees at first glance, turn outo be the wire structures that rise up six stores before fanning out actually house various breeds of creeping vines. There are two levels of raised walkways that wind around the vine structures. The ground level also wraps lazily through various plots of vegetation. There is enough variety of plants here to keep anyone interested for hours. ~ ☼ ~ [Cemetery Ring] If you’re in more for a somber atmosphere, the Cemetery Ring is open to everyone. The first sign posted outside the door reads "We are the lights that shines brightest against the night." The sign below it simply says "All are welcome." This wide corridor, that traverses the whole very top of the Inner Rings, is dimly lit, but pinpoints of light twinkle all over the wall. The wall juts out in an effort to create more surface area for memorials to those Owmi who have passed on to the next life since the Owmi started their nomadic journey. The peacefulness of the room is inviting. ~ ☼ ~

OK, Leia had to admit she was curious about the lady in front of her in line. Specifically her continuous wish for 'chips'. "'Scuse me," she said, leaning a little to one side so Rose would be more likely to see her, "what kind of 'chips' are you talking about?"

"Potato chips, preferably!" Rose offered the small girl a hand so she could take Rose's place in line instead. "Ever had 'em? They're fantastic," she winked.

Leia thought for a moment. "I don't think so," she said. "I've had potatoes before, but not made into chips. Is making them into chips hard?"

"Nah! It's the easiest and best way to cook 'em!" Rose winked and bent down to offer Leia a ride up on her shoulders. "Do me a favor and look over their heads, and see if there's chips, yeah? They look golden, gorgeous, like long stick fingers. Brown is also acceptable if they have to cook 'em extra long or leave the skins on, yeah? How'd you get potatoes cooked before? Here or somewhere else?"

Leia is a bit surprised at the offer for the shoulder lift but nods, carefully moving into position to be lifted up. "Baked, usually," she said. "Or roasted with butter and herbs. Though I think my favorite way to have them is mashed with bits of dried Ojomian onion mixed in; that's really tasty."

"Sounds good!" Rose laughed, "But if you like it like that? You'll love chips. They're delicious. Best food I've ever had in over fifteen different galaxies, no joke!"

"Well then obviously you've never had space waffles with chocolate chips, muja sauce, and whipped cream then," she said matter-of-factly. "Cause that's really delicious too and can be either desert or breakfast!"

Once lifted up on Rose's shoulders, Leia scans the various serving platters for anything resembling chips. "I think I see something that looks like chips," Leia said. "We'll have to wait til we get a little closer though to be sure, though; then you'll be able to see for yourself."

"Okay," Rose quickly conceded, "I have to admit, that sounds pretty fantastic. I'll try your space waffles, and you can try chips if they have 'em, yeah?" She set Leia down for now in front of her. "Thanks, kiddo! I'm Rose by the way. Rose Tyler," she offered a formal handshake and wry grin. "How about you?"

Leia nodded. "If I can find any around here, I'll be sure and share," she said.

"And I'm Leia Organa," she said happily accepting and returning the handshake. "You can just call me Leia. It's nice to meet you, Miss Tyler."
