Being lost in her own thoughts, Leia didn't notice the boy until he sat down next to her. He was obviously older than her, but still it was oddly comforting not to be the only kid in a sea of grown-ups. It didn't make the weird, empty feeling go away, but it made her feel less alone.

She looked up at him when he spoke. "I'm Leia," she said. "Did that big light ball thing bring you here too?" They had mentioned what it was called, but she didn't remember just then, and her thoughts still felt too fuzzy to bother trying.
