Leia had waited until most of the other people had passed by on their way to get off before sliding out of the seat herself and following. When there were a lot of grown-ups around, it was easy for kids to get lost in the shuffle, and she didn't want to take any chances of not being able to find the person she's supposed to meet. Finally though, she had to get up and leave, even if the thought of doing so was just another reason to be scared. What if she still couldn't find the person? What if they hadn't even shown up? She didn't know anybody here, and unlike Aldera, she didn't know her way around.
She stepped off the shuttle ramp and looked around. Most everyone seemed to be dressed kind of like her, in loose, comfy clothes, mostly in shades of blue. Except for one person. A man in armor stood not too far away, watching as people disembarked. The armor he was wearing kind of looked like stormtrooper armor, but not quite. The helmet was different, and his armor had some color in places, where stormtroopers were all black and white. She decided she liked this better; it made him look more alive, more like a person and less like a droid who'd been stamped out of a mold.
She hesitated before approaching him, though. She couldn't tell if she should be scared of him or not. Everything just felt empty, instead of shades of warm or cold, like she was used to. Still, he was the only person she'd seen so far that was even remotely familiar here, so she took a deep breath and went up to talk to him, clutching her bundle of possessions to her chest like a shield.
He seemed surprised that she was a kid, so she nodded a little. "My name's Leia," she said. "Are you the person I'm supposed to meet? They said somebody would show me where my room was..."
