She didn't know what had happened. The doctor had looked her over and given her a shot (with no candy pop afterwards) and some other people had talked to her, given her clothes (at least they were comfy) and a bunch of other things she wasn't sure what to do with right now: a ring, an earbud, a communicator of some kind. None of that had really helped her understand anything that was going on. Or made her feel any better.
Everything but the ring was bundled up in her spare set of clothes; the ring was kind of pretty so she'd put it on, finding it to be just her size. They'd sent her to the shuttle with everyone else and told her that someone would be there to meet her when she got off. That didn't make her feel much better either.
She sat in the shuttle's seat, her legs drawn up as she curled around her small bundle of possessions, feeling very small and very alone, despite the people around her. She wouldn't cry. She kept telling herself that. She needed to be brave.
But she was tired, and scared, and everything felt weird and empty. She missed her mommy and daddy, Scruffy (her stuffed baby wookie doll), and Waffles (her pet wolf-cat). She even missed 3P0 and his long lessons about manners.

She wanted to go home.
