Anakin had been hoping Obi-Wan would go first just so that he would know how much he'd have to explain. Up until a few weeks prior to Anakin arriving here, Palpatine was believed to be an honest leader of the Republic. This could be tricky.

The brightness, the exuberance at seeing his former Master again, faded from his face and he crossed his arms.

He settled on being direct.

"Palpatine," not Chancellor, no honorific title, "had just revealed he was- is Darth Sidious. Four of the Council had gone over to arrest him. I followed to help. I'd just been walking into Palpatine's chambers when I was taken. You were on Utapau."
