Already her annoyance was starting to fade; she just couldn't stay angry at this boy, and she would realize why in a moment, when her annoyance was no longer distracting her. She kept up the glare though; clearly this boy needed to learn to respect other people's property, and since there were no grown-ups around, it seemed it was on her to teach him.
